Essie Cummings
Essie started her career in physiotherapy in Sydney as a mobile physio, then transitioned into private practice where she has developed her passions in sports, musculoskeletal and Women’s Health.
Essie works with clients through active recovery, and empowering her patients through education, exercise and hands on techniques. She loves working closely with clients to achieve their goals.
Essie is the national men’s ice hockey team physiotherapist and has supported the Mighty Roos at competitions in Australia and abroad. She has also been the team physiotherapist for the Sydney Bears and Sydney Sirens Ice hockey teams for several years. Now that she has moved to Victoria, Essie continues work with these teams when they compete in Melbourne. In her time with these teams, Essie saw both teams win their respective Cups – a career highlight and Essie now has her name as physio on the Goodall Cup, the third oldest ice hockey cup in the world!
When Essie is not working or rink side, she is looking after her young family and can be found escaping to the beach, hiking and camping. During winter you will find her boarding on the ski slopes.
