Mark Alexander
Mark will be sharing fantastic insights from his time as Head Physiotherapist with the Australian Olympic and Commonwealth Games Triathlon Teams. Mark has competed in triathlons previously, giving him first-hand insight into the challenges of the sport.
Karen Shaw
Karen will share her tips for bike fit setup and run technique modifications, including the most frequent errors she sees. Karen has competed in short and long distance triathlon, including the 2018 Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. Karen’s professional and personal interest in triathlon has driven her to develop her skills in the areas of Physio Bike fit, running analysis, sports injury management and strength and conditioning.
Irwin Kim
Irwin will discuss the benefits of strength training for injury prevention and maximising performance. He will also include tips on how to best add strength training to your triathlon training program. Irwin is not only an experienced physiotherapist with a postgraduate certificate in musculoskeletal physiotherapy; he is also a qualified strength and conditioning coach and trained in running analysis. The combination of these qualifications and his personal experience competing in marathons, means Irwin has a wealth of useful information to share.
Lynda Rigby
Lynda will join us for a Q&A panel on the night. Lynda is a clinical pilates guru and is highly skilled at combining pilates and gym rehabilitation for optimal outcomes in rehabilitating sports injuries. Lynda is a keen recreational runner and is also skilled in running analysis.
